Federal Pay Equity

Since August 2021, the Pay Equity Act has been in effect for the federal public service and federally regulated companies with 10 or more employees. For a significant portion of Canadian organizations subject to the federal Pay Equity Act, the deadline for the final posting of their pay equity plan is September 3, 2024

Although it follows the same basic framework as Quebec’s Pay Equity Act, the new federal Pay Equity Act also includes many innovations in the area of pay equity. Enhanced transparency, increased employee participation in maintenance and other methods of estimating wage gaps are among these innovations.

Khlat Compensation Consulting offers consulting services to help your federally regulated organization implement its pay equity plan.

For many years, Khlat Compensation Consulting has been helping organizations in Quebec with their pay equity mandate. Our vast experience extends from unionized to non-unionized companies of all sizes and in all sectors of activity.

You can view the panel of pay equity experts that Khlat Compensation Consulting was a part of on March 8, 2022 (French language only), by clicking on the above link. Although this panel was organized by the CNESST and focused on the Quebec Pay Equity Act, one of the questions also targeted the federal Pay Equity Act (go to: 1:17:37).
